Sunday, October 14th, 2018:  October is National Substance Abuse Prevention Month.  This Sunday is designated by the Delaware-Maryland Synod Assembly as a special worship of singing, praying and learning about this crisis in our communities.  As a community that believes in the theology of the cross, we don’t ignore the pain and brokenness of the world but enter fully into the midst of it as Jesus did for us.  ALL ARE WELCOME!

St Luke’s will be hosting Financial Peace University on Sunday afternoons from 1:30 to about 3:30 beginning September 23rd through November 18th in the social hall.  Click here for more information and a complete schedule.

Monday, October 29:  The Lutheran Men's Fall dinner will be held here at St. Luke’s at 6:30 pm -  help is needed for preparation and serving.  If you are available  please see Barbara Devilbiss or Cheryl Keeney.

All Saints' Sunday:  November 6th.

Wednesday, November 7th, 7:00pm - 8:30pm:  St. Luke's will be starting GriefShare sessions.  Sessions will be every Wednesday from 11/7/18 through 2/20/19.  Click here for more information and a complete schedule.  Any questions contact Beth Bassler.

Sunday, November 11:  St. Luke’s plans to honor our veterans with a commemoration of Armistice Day.  Our church services will include special music and pealing of our belfry bell.  Between services there will be WWI displays and a program to include period music.  For those able to attend we plan to conclude with a movie to honor Edith Louisa Cavell, a British nurse whose merciful care of all wounded soldiers was reworded with execution by the Germans.

If you have artifacts/items related to WWI, plan to display them on November 11.
